Inter-Governmental Organizations (IGOs) are bodies established by sovereign states to address specific global challenges. Prominent examples of IGOs include the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Bank Organization (WBO), and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), along with other significant entities such as UNESCO, OECD, WWF, and UNICEF.
The World Sports Alliance (WSA-IGO) possesses the unique opportunity to collaborate with current and future Member States, as well as other stakeholders, to leverage the potential of sports as a powerful catalyst for achieving the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
These goals aim to enhance social, political, economic, and environmental conditions worldwide.

​In our Member States, several challenges arise in the context of the New climate Economy (NCE), the most prominent of which is:

Addressing these challenges requires a multi-faceted and integrated approaches, including investment in infrastructure, community support, educational initiatives, and the promotion of sports as an essential part of youth development that combine climate action with economic development, enhancing resilience, and ensuring that all stakeholders are involved in creating sustainable futures.

SPORTS will be used as a means to raise awareness, educate, inspire, and mobilize youth to act for a more sustainable future while fostering their personal development, and their communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to assist our Member States in adopting a transformative approach that connects the realm of sports with the urgent need for climate action and sustainable development.
It aims to empower youth, create economic opportunities, and promote environmental stewardship through the unifying force of sports, thereby fostering a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
We are committed to working towards a resilient and sustainable future that respects both the environment and the spirit of sportsmanship.
WSA-IGO aims to:

Build sustainable and eco-friendly sports facilities that are intended for use as Sports Academies, thereby promoting national, provincial,
and local youth development.

Implement sustainable sports programs by:

Integrating environmentally conscious practices and educational content on the SDGs into sport initiatives, thereby raising awareness among youth regarding climate issues while fostering their personal growth.

Creating specialized programs aimed at identifying and nurturing youth sports talents to professional standards, in conjunction with establishing a scholarship program for student-athletes.

Organize eco-friendly sports events and competitions among Member States, carefully selecting events designed to minimize carbon emissions.

Our mission is to promote sustainable and innovative approaches that contribute to the strengthening of personal and community well-being. Through collaboration, we aim to harness the power of sport as a solution for enhancing the quality of life for individuals and fostering resilient communities.
We’re seeking partnerships with corporations committed to sustainability, green technology, and sports aiming to secure Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) contributions to support Initiatives aligned with our Missions across our Member Sates.​​
One of the significant challenges facing our global community today is the escalating decline in both physical and mental health, which is undermining the very fabric of our societies.
For instance, during the recent Olympics in Paris 2024, it was evident that all athletes demonstrated not only physical fitness but also a healthy, positive, and empowering mental attitude.
The challenge for the World Sports Alliance (WSA) and its participants is to go beyond mere imagination and actively facilitate communities in adopting the attributes exemplified by Olympic athletes.
By fostering these "actualizing" qualities, we can create powerful catalysts for enhancing social, political, economic, and environmental well-being within our communities.
